To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the School of Continuing Education (SCE) held a public exhibition titled “Inspiring Generations” from 21 to 27 October at K11 Art Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. The opening ceremony took place on 22 October, officiated by Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Ronald Chung, Dean of SCE; and the Chairpersons of SCE’s four advisory committees.
Professor Ronald Chung reflected on SCE’s pioneering contributions to local higher education over the past five decades and pledged to continue developing innovative programmes to meet societal needs. Professor Alex Wai praised SCE for its complementary and collaborative relationship with HKBU, expressing confidence that the School will leverage its unique advantages to create even greater synergy with the University in the future.
The ceremony also marked the launch of SCE 50th Anniversary Commemorative Publication, which documents key milestones in SCE’s history and features in-depth interviews with different stakeholders, preserving the memory shared among the SCE community.
