HKBU and Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) co-organised a High Table Dinner on HKBU campus on 3 November, providing a valuable platform for exchange between students from both universities. The event attracted more than 180 students and distinguished guests.
Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU, welcomed 50 BNBU students attending the High Table Dinner at HKBU, demonstrating the ongoing implementation of the “One University, Two Campuses” concept. He also expressed gratitude to the Y. Elites Association for bringing around 20 industry leaders from various fields to join the dinner, interact with students and broaden their horizons.
Professor Chen Zhi, President of BNBU, said that the dinner was one of the key events of the BNBU’s 20th anniversary celebration, providing a valuable platform for cultural exchange and integration among students from both universities. He encouraged all students to prepare themselves to seize the remarkable opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
Professor Ricky Chiu, Chairman and CEO of PHASE Scientific International Limited, was invited to serve as the keynote speaker. In his keynote address titled “Innovate to Elevate: Tips for Young People to Achieve Future Success”, Professor Chiu shared his professional experience and entrepreneurial journey, encouraging students to ask questions, build networks and embrace failures.
Distinguished guests at the event included Mr Penny Chan, Executive Vice Charman of the Y. Elites Association. The participation of BNBU students in the dinner was funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and Youth Development Commission.
