Located at the Yeung Shui Sang Building on Ho Sin Hang Campus, StarHub is the University’s first dedicated on-campus hub for career support and entrepreneurship incubation open for all students. Designed to support the diverse development needs of aspiring entrepreneurs and students, StarHub offers a co-creation space that fosters creativity, collaboration, product and prototype showcases, and connections with industry leaders. It aims to nurture HKBU ventures that make a positive impact on society. The opening of StarHub signifies a substantial milestone in HKBU’s enduring commitment to nurturing student innovation, entrepreneurship, and career readiness.
StarHub also provides career support for SEN students. With the support of the Koo’s Giving Charitable Foundation, StarHub will launch the “Empowerment and Career Preparation Programme for HKBU Students with Special Educational Needs” to offer tailored career advice, customised internship matching, and graduate opportunities that align with the skills and career ambitions of the students, providing crucial support for their smooth transition from academia to the workforce.
A donor recognition ceremony was held during the event to express the University’s deepest gratitude to the Foundation for its steadfast commitment to advancing inclusive career support and empowering students’ growth.
In addition, the Career Centre has invited 13 distinguished advisors from diverse sectors to provide voluntary business and career consultations, helping students in developing their careers. Certificates of appointment were presented to the advisors during the ceremony.
