Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) congratulates Cheung Ka-long, a member of the Fencing Team of Hong Kong, China, for clinching the gold medal in the Men’s Foil Team event together with his teammates at the 15th National Games today (19 November). It is his second medal at this National Games following the bronze medal in the Men’s Foil Individual event.
Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Cheung Ka-long: “After his individual event, Ka-long once again demonstrated exceptional mental resilience and adaptability, attaining new achievements for the Fencing Team of Hong Kong, China at this prestigious national sporting event. Notably, his teamwork and collaborative spirit with his fellow athletes enabled them to secure the gold medal on home ground, an accomplishment that has been profoundly encouraging for the entire HKBU community."

Cheung Ka-long was awarded a scholarship under HKBU’s Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme, and is currently studying the Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Recreation Management programme.
